Ukulele edit
-
An ukulele is a Hawaiian string instrument. Because it has only four strings, it can be simpler to play than the guitar.
-
At its head, an ukulele has tuning clips. We can use them to adjust the length of the strings to ensure the ukulele plays correctly.
-
An Ukulele is tuned 'GCEA' (Giant Cockroaches Eat Anything). An electronic tuner or something else can help to identify the correct tuning.
-
We play with two hands. The main hand strikes the strings. The secondary hand presses the strings to produce the correct chord. Here is an example playing position.
-
To play a chord at the ukulele, place your fingers at the top of the strings in a particular pattern. The fingers positioning for each chord is described at this page (in Italian).
