The Computer Revolution/E commerce/Cascading Style Sheets
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS’S): are used instead of HTML and XHTML to specify the styles used with a Web page or an entire Web site. The actually CSS styles can be specified directly in the head section of an individual Web page (called an internal style sheet), they are normally saved in a separate file called an external style sheet and using the file extension .css. Then the CSS file is linked to the Web pages of a site using a link statement in the head section of those pages and the CSS styles specified in the CSS file are applied to al of the linked Web pages at one time. Using the external CSS file improves consistency and efficiency because any changes made to the styles in the CSS file are automatically applied to all Web pages used with that CSS file.
