SYNTAX

FOR BOOK CATEGORY PAGES (1)

Call this template without any parameters, on sub-category BOOK CATEGORY pages. The template will add the sub-category not only to the top-most parent category when the top parent is at most 21 generations away, but also to all intermediate parent categories along the way.

FOR STANDARD PAGES OF YOUR BOOK (2)

Call this template with the book_category parameter set to a sub-category BOOK CATEGORY {ideally, the most leaf-like (aka child-like) category for the particular branch (branch in a tree data structure representation of the book's BOOK CATEGORY categories) under which you want to categorise}. This second type of syntax is appropriate for standard non-CATEGORY pages, such as the pages of your book. A maximum number of 20 generations in the parent hierarchy applies.
