Technology Planning: the Educator's Guide Introduction edit

During the 1990s several institutions developed thoughtful methods of technology planning for schools. Companies like Apple Computer, educational agencies like NCREL, and non-governmental organizations like the National Center for Technology Planning all made their planning websites freely accessible to educators and technologists. Today these resources only exist in the Internet Archive [1], the current websites of these organizations have either dropped access to the planning materials or the website has disappeared. Well-developed technology planning models are now either very difficult to find or are available only by paid consulting.

The technology planning model used in this wikibook is loosely based on Apple Computer's (now Apple, Inc.) technology planning model.
