Regular Affirmative Spanish Commands

edit

Spanish commands can vary based on if they are singular or plural and their formality.

Tú Commands

edit

An affirmative tú command is the same as the Present Third Person Singular (Él, Ella, Usted) conjugation in present tense.

For Example:

Ar ER Ir
Stem + a Stem + e Stem + e
Habla Speak Come Eat Escribe Write

Usted Commands

edit

An Ar usted command is formed by dropping the "o" from the Present First Person Singular conjugation (the yo form) and then adding an "e". For Example:

Hablar - To speak Comprar - To buy
Yo Form Command Yo Form Command
Hablo Hable Compro Compre

Er and Ir

edit

An Er/Ir usted command is formed by dropping the "o" from the Present First Person Singular conjugation (the yo form) and then adding an "a". For example:

Beber - To drink Vivir - To live
Yo Form Command Yo Form Command
Bebo Beba Vivo Viva

Ustedes Commands

edit

An ustedes command is formed by adding an "n" to the end of an usted command.

For example:

Hablar - To speak Compartir - To share
Ud. Command Uds. Command Ud. Command Uds. Command
Hable Hablen Comparta Compartan
