Prepositions go before a noun, pronoun, adjective or verb to indicate their function in a sentence; and may be simple, contracted or improper.
Simple prepositions

Contracted prepositions
editThese are generally formed by simple prepositions + the definite article.

Improper prepositions

- Because of the abovementioned pronunciation rules, the pronunciation of the prepositions is as follows:

- In spoken form, when in o chin are bound to the indefinite article unu / -a, a -d is added.
- Cantande ind unu tzilleri (Singing in a bar)
- Fipo chind un'amica (I was with a friend)
- In spoken form, the -D of De often is not pronounced; so that the preposition becomes 'e.
