Renewable Energy/Ocean Thermal

Ocean absorbs lot of heat from the sun. This thermal energy is called ocean thermal energy. To extract this energy the hot ocean water is run through turbine to colder heat sink, where it needs to be cooled. The bottom layers of ocean are colder than the top layers. These bottom layers are used as the heat sink.
