Practical Electronics/Tables
Both very large and very small numbers are common in electronic. To simplify writing these numbers there are several prefixes (known as metric prefixes) used to multiply the values of components. These values are shown in the table below.

These prefixes are added before the units that describe a quantity and are case sensitive (mW does not equal MW).
