A whole grain is a grain that contains the germ, endosperm, and bran. In contrast, a refined grain keeps only the endosperm.

Quán-gǔwù shì bāokuò pēiyá, pēirǔfūpí de gǔwù. Xiāngfǎn, jīngliàn-gǔwù zhǐ bǎoliú pēirǔ.


Eating whole grain can prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. Whole grain is good for health, but refined grain is harmful to health.
