Pinyin/Hearing
Hearing is one of the five senses. The ears are used for hearing sounds. It is harder to hear a sound made farther away. It is also harder to hear a sound when other sounds are louder.
Tīngjué shì 5 zhǒng gǎnjué zhīyī. Ěrduǒ yònglái tīng shēngyīn. Yuǎn de shēngyīn hěn nán tīngdào. Zài cáochǎo de huánjìng zhōng yě hěn nán tīng qīngchǔ.
Sounds pass into the ear. They make the eardrum vibrate. That makes tiny bones in the ear move. The bones move a small tube shaped like a snail shell, called the cochlea. Inside the cochlea is a fluid, which moves tiny hairs that send signals to the brain.
