Overview
editGoyle, Sr. is the father of Gregory Goyle, one of Draco Malfoy's sidekicks.
Role in the Books
editWhen Lord Voldemort summons his Death Eaters after returning to life, he addresses one of them as Goyle. When Voldemort asks Goyle to do better next time, Goyle promises he will.
When Harry later names Goyle as one of the Death Eaters present in the graveyard, Cornelius Fudge dismisses that, saying he had already been tried and released, and Harry could have gotten his name from the old news stories.
Goyle was mentioned indirectly as one of the Death Eaters that Harry named in his interview with Rita Skeeter, later published in the Quibbler.
