LGBT Young Adult Literature/Transsexuality

A transsexual is one who experiences a gender identity that's inconsistent with their assigned sex, and desires to permanently transition to the sex/gender they identify with.

This term is a subset of transgender, although some transsexuals reject the label transgender.
