Jonesboro, Arkansas/Geography

Nestled in the northeastern corner of Arkansas, Craighead County borders the Missouri Bootheel.[1] Jonesboro — which measures about 208.4 square kilometers (80.5 square miles) — is located atop Crowley's Ridge, "a geological formation" situated 76 to 170 meters (250 to 550 miles) above the Mississippi embayment alluvial plain.[1][2]

Craighead County borders Lawrence County to the northwest, Greene County to the north, Mississippi County to the east, Poinsett County to the south, and Jackson County to the southwest.[1] It also borders Dunklin County, Missouri to the northeast.[1]
