Overview
editThe third installment in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is written from the point-of-view of 13 year-old Harry Potter. The title refers to convicted criminal, Sirius Black, who has escaped Azkaban, a wizard prison. Black's life previously intersected with Harry's history and continues to do so in the present. Darker and more mature than the preceding entries in the series, the book shows Harry's darker side, exploring some of the darker places in his past, and introduces the Dementors. It is the only book in the series which does not feature Lord Voldemort.
