Global Illumination and HDRI Maps in 3D Studio Max

How to get photorealistic images from 3D Studio MAX without really trying. edit

by Bill Harbison.

This tutorial assumes that you have a basic knowledge of modeling and rendering within 3D Studio MAX amd have a basic knowledge of the user interface.

With basic modeling and simple lighting using HDRI maps we will create a photorealistic image with smooth shading and soft shadows. Once this part is complete we will create some realistic chrome, glass and reflective shaders to add to the scene ending with a high quality image.
