edit- 2002 (July) - Georgia DNR created the Water Conservation Program "to promote the efficient use of Georgia’s water resources and implement a statewide water conservation plan".*[1]
- 2003 (Oct) - Georgia DNR released first draft of a statewide water conservation plan and requested online forum public comments.
- 2004 (May) - Georgia DNR released the final report, *Water Conservation Plan Guidelines,
- 2005 (Oct) - Georgia Environmental Protection Division appointed members of the Water Conservation Technical Advisory Committee to recommend policies for inclusion in the Statewide Water Plan.
