When Sipesey handed Oznell her twin boys she was so shocked to see the contrast between their skin complexities. Jasper was the color of creamy coffee, while Artis was as black as coal. Big George just laughs this off. George didn't think it was so funny ten years later. That's when Artis had stabbed Jasper five times in the arm with a penknife before another boy saved him. George took him to Dr. Hadley, and when Jasper said his brother did it to him, George was humiliated.
