Abbreviation Stands for Examples
a.K. antaŭ Kristo
eo: Platono naskiĝis en 429 aK.
en: Plato was born in 429 BC.
B.C., before Christ Common practice in modern Esperanto is to simply use negative numbers: Platono naskiĝis en −429.
a.K.E. antaŭ Komuna Erao
eo: Platono naskiĝis en 429 aKE.
en: Plato was born in 429 BCE.
B.C.E., before Common Era Common practice in modern Esperanto is to simply use negative numbers: Platono naskiĝis en −429.
atm. antaŭtagmeze
eo: Mi vekiĝis je la sesa atm.
en: I woke up at six AM. (Lit: I woke up at the sixth (hour) in the morning.)
A.M. The 12 hour clock is not usually used in Esperanto, so there is no need to specify AM or PM: Mi vekiĝis je la sesa.

ekz. ekzemple; ekzemplero e.g., ex., for example, copy (of a book, etc.)
ekz-o, or ekzo ekzemplo example You would use ekz-o, or ekzo for a complete example.
ekz-ro, or ekzro ekzemplero example You would use ekz-ro for a part of a complete example, such as an example of a single step in a longer process.
F-ino, or Fino Fraŭlino Miss
Ges-roj, or Gesroj Gesinjoroj Ladies and gentlemen Used to address a mixed group.

C.E., Common Era K.E. is rarely used in modern Esperanto. Instead, Common Era years are positive and "BCE" years are negative.
