LR Circuits
editAn LR circuit has an inductor and a resistor.
When the circuit is turned on the inductor will initially oppose the flow of electrons and no current will flow. Over time the inductor will stop opposing the current and will act as a short allowing current to flow unhindered.
Once the current is shut off the inductor will oppose the decrease in current. This only happens if there is a resistor to bleed off the current.
