Digital Encoder

A digital encoder is a digital device that uses bits to represent information as binary numbers.

Example 1

Using a two bit binary number we have four 2 bits binary numbers

Similarly, with a 4 bit binary number we can encode the decimal numbers from 0 to 15 as shown below
