In addition to the Lagrangian description of the system, the Hamiltonian description can also be used.
The Hamiltonian H{\displaystyle {\mathcal {H}}} can be constructed as follows
H=∑npnq˙n−L{\displaystyle {\mathcal {H}}=\sum _{n}p_{n}{\dot {q}}_{n}-{\mathcal {L}}}
Where p{\displaystyle p} is the momentum, q{\displaystyle q} is the position, and L{\displaystyle {\mathcal {L}}} is the Lagrangian.
