Chigorin Variation

4. g3 allows development of the f-rank bishop to g2 after playing Qe2 (in this variation, the queen takes a position that gives attacking possibilities later in the game that can allow the player to think outside the box a bit. For example: 4 ... g6 5. Bg2 Bg7 6. o-o and black can't always play d5, equal game.
