editSection 156 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act reads:
Immunity and no summons 156 The following rules apply to the Chairperson and the members in respect of the exercise or purported exercise of their functions under this Act: (a) no criminal or civil proceedings lie against them for anything done or omitted to be done in good faith; and (b) they are not competent or compellable to appear as a witness in any civil proceedings.
