The Great Apostasy

The Lord Jesus Christ implemented his gospel while he was on the earth in the meridian of time. Then there came a falling away, or an apostasy. The apostle Paul prophesied of this Great Apostasy. Regarding the second coming of the Savior, he said, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" (2 Thessalonians 2:3). There would be a falling away, but God would not forget his people. There would be a restoration.
