deshabillé     (Errata) Gabler (1984) emends this to deshabille, which is the form printed in The Little Review in 1919.[1] The correct French spelling is déshabillé. Other editions of Ulysses opt for the French form.

déshabillé     a garment worn when one is in a state of undress; a négligée.

embonpoint     voluptuous plumpness.
