Qui sdegno (Italian) Here indignation.[1] These are the opening words of the Italian version of Sarastro's aria In diesen heil'gen Hallen (In these sacred halls) from Act II of Mozart's Singspiel Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).[2] Here, sdegno (anger, indignation) corresponds to the German Rache, which can mean fury or rage, but in this context means vengeance.
