Annotations to James Joyce's Ulysses/Nausicaa/348
Annotations
editLaudate Dominum omnes gentes (Latin) Praise the Lord, all nations.[1] At the conclusion of the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, as the celebrant is replacing the Sacrament in the tabernacle, the congregation sing an antiphon based on Psalm 117 (Vulgate 116), Laudate Dominum:
Laudate Dominum, omnes gentes: conlaudate eum, universi populi |
O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. |
