editOMNIUM GATHERUM (Dog Latin) An omnium-gatherum is a confused collection of persons or things of various sorts, a hotchpotch. The expression is Dog Latin, comprising an imaginary neuter noun gatherum (a gathering) and the genitive plural omnium (of everyone).
on the shaughraun (Hiberno-English) Out of work.[1] Shaughraun is an Anglicized form of the Irish seachrán, which means: wandering, straying; error, deception, delusion. Ar seachrán (On [the] shaughraun) can mean: wandering, astray, out of work.[2]
