Know how to dog paddle.

Face over water and paddling with alternate hands, often with the nose and mouth above the water. This stroke can be used in reverse to propel the body feet first.

  • Always have an adult watch you when you are in the pool
  • Never run around the pool
  • Never jump in on top of someone
  • Always obey pool rules.
  • Swim with a buddy.
  • If you're just learning to swim, stay in the shallow end.
  • Don't push or jump on others.
  • Don't Dive at the shallow water
  • No eating while swimming
  • Swimming Instructor-Life Guard must be alert with medical outfit

If you see someone in trouble in the pool, it's better to call for parent or adult to come and help. Reason: Unless you are a trained in lifeguard, you might be drag into the water instead.

When you see someone in trouble, start calling for help from the poolside. Make as much noise as possible.
