Show the two elements that make a rainbow.Edit
Forming a rainbow requires two items. The first is rain or another source of liquid water drops; the second is a strong light source. While most rainbows we see are caused by sunlight, the moon when it is bright is just as capable in producing bows, called moonbows.
Create a Rainbow:
- Find a piece of white paper. Fold it in half, and cut a little triangle with a pair of scissors.
- Fill a glass with water. A fishbowl, or other clear container will also work well.
- Tape a flashlight on the hole in the piece of paper.
- Hold the paper up with the flashlight bar.
- Turn on the flashlight directly at the glass of water.
- A rainbow has appeared.

What does the rainbow promise us?Edit
What colors make up the rainbow? Create your own rainbow with the colors in their right order.Edit
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. An easy way to remember the order is to think of the order as a man's name—Roy G. Biv.
The following are the colors and examples of God's awesome character:
Red This is the first or the topmost color in a rainbow. The color red first brings to mind the idea of love. Redeemer—Ephesians 1:7,
Orange Orange is the second color in the rainbow, from the top. The color orange is a combination of red and yellow. It may not be as fiery as red but symbolizes a lot of energy and wisdom. Orange is a very warm color, which although dynamic, is more thoughtful and controlled. Offering—John 1:29. The Lamb was a sacrifice offering for sin.
Yellow The third color in a rainbow from the top is yellow. The color yellow is vibrant in itself, as it represents the color of the sun. Yellow also means something bright and happy, and the usage of this color is known to bring about a proper clarity of thought in the mind of an individual, and also improve one's decision-making skills. Wisdom is usually associated with this color. YEAH!—God is always cheering for us. He is always there cheering for us. (Example: The Lost Coin, Luke 15:8-10)
Green Green is the fourth or the middle color in a rainbow. The color green is formed with the merging of yellow and blue. Therefore, this is located in the center of the spectrum. Green has always been known for being the color of fertility, in addition to its calming effect on an individual. The color green symbolizes harmony, balance, growth, and good health. Giving—John 3:16
Blue The fifth color from the top in a rainbow is the color blue. Think blue and you think of the oceans and the sky, and all that goes towards the unknown. Blue is known as the color of divinity. BIG—Our God is awesome (Example: Moses and the Red Sea)
Indigo The second color from the bottom in a rainbow is indigo. A deepened version of the color blue would give you indigo. The color indigo means infinity. It also symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and self-mastery. This color is known to be the bridge between the finite and the infinite. The energy of the color blue is multiplied by indigo. Immanuel—Matt. 1:23
Violet The last or the lowermost color in a rainbow is violet. This color is a combination of the colors red and blue. It is the highest and the subtlest specialization of light, as it is at the opposite end of the color red. This color is viewed as the completion as well as the beginning of the energy vibration. A deep purple symbolizes high spiritual attainment, and a pale shade symbolizes love for humanity. Typically violet has always signified royalty. Victorious—Psalm 60:12
We are like little drops of "rain" that God uses to refresh the earth (our family, our home, our friends, our neighbors). When we let the light of Jesus shine through us, others will see the "rainbow" of His love. Invite children to let Jesus make their life like a rainbow.
Where will we find a rainbow in heaven?Edit
And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.
