Fallarbor Town, known as Hajitsuge Town (ハジツゲタウン Hajitsuge Taun) in the original Japanese version, is a fictional city in the Pokémon series, located in the Hoenn region. It lies north of Mt. Chimney. Most of its inhabitants work in agriculture; the soil is very fertile because of its high content of volcanic ash.

Pokémon Contest

Fallarbor Town is home to the Super Rank contest house.

Battle Tent

In Pokémon Emerald, the contest house is replaced with a Battle Tent (like every other contest house except the one in Lilycove City). It is similar to the Battle Arena on the Battle Frontier. The player has to knock out the enemy's Pokémon within three turns, and if the player does not knock out the Pokémon, he or she will be graded on a points system based on their battling (the HP remaining, the effectiveness of moves, and how well the Pokémon used the moves). A circle is two points, a triangle is one point, and a letter X is zero points.

Fossil Maniac's House

In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is a house near Fallarbor Town that gives the player access to a cave, in which the Fossil Maniac gives the player the TM Dig. In Pokémon Emerald, the Desert Underpass appears after becoming the champion, with nothing special except for the other fossil the player has not obtained yet at the Mirage Tower.

Professor Cozmo's House

In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is a house in Fallarbor Town where Professor Cozmo resides. After defeating Team Magma/Aqua and recovering the Meteorite, one can return it to Professor Cozmo for a TM, Return.

Desert Underpass

In Pokémon Emerald, after the player defeats the Elite Four, inside the Fossil Maniac's house is an entrance to the Desert Underpass. It stretches under the town and to the desert. Besides finding wild Pokémon (Ditto, Whismur, and Loudred), the player will find the fossil he or she did not pick at the Mirage Pillar in the desert.

Meteor Falls

Meteor Falls is a waterfall-filled cave located in the near Fallarbor Town. The cavern is particularly distinctive as it's the habitat for Lunatone (Lunatone can't be found in Emerald) and Solrock.

Though players will initially have to pass through the area early on in the games to save Prof. Cosmo from Team Aqua or Team Magma, the majority of the area is not accessible to players until late in the game, when the Waterfall HM is available. Of interest to trainers is the rare Dragon Pokémon Bagon, which is only found deep inside the caves. Additionally, in Pokémon Emerald one may challenge Steven Stone after becoming champion.

Demographics

Although Fallarbor Town is small in size, it has a population of 21. It should be noted that the Fossil Maniac is included, only because he lives just outside of the town.
