Before you start your project, there are a few things you should know:

  1. Backup your files often
  2. Frequently save your work (Ctrl + S)
  3. Explore as many functions/shortcuts on your own and tell your classmates/instructor if you discover something new
  4. Learn how to use the “Online Help” found in the top toolbar under “Help”
  5. Try searching a VISSIM related question in your favorite search engine for additional help
  6. Important functions are either underlined or in “quotes”
  7. There are TIPS and WARNINGS throughout this tutorial
  8. Read each section entirely, including the TIPS and WARNINGS before replicating the steps in VISSIM
