International Postage Meter Stamp Catalog/Slovakia
Slovakia edit
- The first meters exclusive to Slovakia came into use in 1939 when the Slovak area of Czechoslovakia declared itself independent. After World War 2 and the reformation of Czechoslovakia, separate stamps for Slovakia were discontinued.
- In 1993 when Czechoslovakia voluntarily reformed as two independent states (Slovakia and the Czech Republic) Slovak stamps again came into use.
- All stamps show “SLOVENSKO” in the frank.
- For issues between 1945 and 1993, see CZECHOSLOVAKIA.
