International Postage Meter Stamp Catalog/Portuguese India (Goa)

Portuguese India (Goa) edit

  • The earliest meter stamp seen is from 1959.
  • Meter stamps were used for only a short period of time until the colony was returned to India in 1962.
  • The stamps are inscribed “CORREIOS DO ESTADO DA INDIA”.
  • Although properly postally used examples of these stamps must exist, we have never seen one. The illustrations are from proofs.
