  • The country is an independent Principality with a special relationship with France. All meters placed into use so far are of French manufacture. The first meter was placed into use in 1928. All stamps are inscribed “MONACO”.
  • The stamps are grouped as follows:
A - Inscribed “PRINCIPAUTE DE MONACO”
B - inscribed “€ MONACO”
PO - Special stamps generated only by Post Office meters and imprinters

As type A5 but with "MONTE-CARLO" at top of frank instead of the country name.
Meter “M 1691” only.
One example is known, dated 12 February 1958. This same meter dated in September 1958 has "PRINCIPAUTE DE MONACO" at top (Type A5).
