Description The Sega Master System, a 2nd generation video game console by Sega that was released worldwide beginning in 1986. An upgraded revision of the Sega SG-1000, it was the first Sega console to release in North America. The system had better graphics than the competing Nintendo NES, but was not successful in the US. It was much more popular in Europe and South America.
