Description
English: Mass-spectrometer (Finnigan MAT251) for measuring stable carbon (12C/13C) and oxygen (16O/18O) isotopes in carbonaceous shells. Isotope laboratory of Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, Bremerhaven, Germany. The engineer is checking the magnet for deflection and separation of the isotopes. The MAT251 was controlled by an Apple II computer (right).
