Summary

Description Although sporadic in alpine and subalpine settings, this species is more common at lower montane elevations. This site is on a protected north facing slope. The drooping panicles bearing flowers less than 3 mm long, each with tepals and bracts that are not ciliate are distinguishing of this species. The closed leaf sheath and hairy collar region are diagnostic traits of woodrushes.
