Genus characteristics: 1- Antennae have 12 to 14 segments. 2- Wings have no r-m cross vein. 3- Wings have a large second radial cell and often a smaller first radial cell. 4- Wings are semi-transparent white, without patterns, and contrasting with black body of midge. |
