Iresi Eyin is the yoruba version of the popular jollof rice, it is very nutritious and easy in preparation. All that is required is to mix all the ingredients together in a pot.


  • Rice
  • Palm nut cream
  • Locust beans
  • Dried Crayfish
  • Dried Catfish
  • Pepper powder
  • Onions
  • Salt
  • The other Jollof rice ingredients
  • Carrots and pea


  • Wash the rice and parboil for about 8 minutes.
  • In a large clean pot, put all the ingredients.
  • Add substantial amount of waterin the pot and place on high heat and leave to boil
  • After a while, Reduce heat to medium so the food does not get burnt.
  • Allow the rice to simmer for about 25 minutes.
  • Iresi eyin is ready to be served.
