Lights of Moscow — the third personal exhibition of Viktor Pinchuk, held at the summer of 2006 in the exhibition hall of the Russian Cultural Center (Simferopol).[1]

Moskva (river), one of the exhibition works

Background edit

Transit through Moscow was a necessary segment of the itinerary of the First creative trip to Africa, particularly in terms of obtaining an Ethiopian visa.

The night views of capital city were shot using a tripod and analog camera. It was not without a minor misunderstanding. By placing his massive equipment on Red Square, the author of the future exhibition aroused the suspicions of the Moscow police, who were patrolling the city: they mistook a Crimean photografer for an illegal entrepreneur, intending to earn money on late-night walkers, but soon law enforcement officers realized what had happened, wish good luck and gone.
