I am switching careers from software engineer to math teacher.

When you're writing software you have the option to run your statements through a compiler to make sure the computer will be able to understand what you're saying (although unfortunately not necessarily what you meant). I am editing Wikibooks to work on my presentation in the classroom. I've found that its a lot more work to get students to let you know when they don't understand.

My career opportunities seem to be around teaching Algebra so I am writing and editing in this area with the intent of possibly including Wikibooks in my curriculum.
