Template:TRS-tut-image

• It lists a template which may be useful editing Trainz. Trainz specific (special purpose) templates will be found in or under Category:Trainz Templates, which also lists/links to this Help page.

Purpose

This template is used on image and media pages that are used under fair use guidelines but encumbered by copyrights under the laws of some nations outside United States practices, so can't be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons.

It adds the page to the auto-category (or subcategories of) Category:Trainz tutorial images-non-free, using Standard Trainz pipetrick sorting {{{sort|{{{p|}}}}}}{{PAGENAME}}.

When given one of the specified parameters, it will assert and fill in the {{Information}} and {{Fairuse}} templates. As a convenience shortcut, given one of the registered Trainz Authors trigger initials (FB, JW, etc.) it will fill in the proper lines for author.

Enumerated Control Parameters edit

The following keys passed as {{{1}}} (Arg-1) select the indicated sub-category.

ONLY Arg-1 is tested for the sorting auto-categories, so these keys must be used.
Other (named) parameters may be defined by equalities, such as author information (e.g. | JW = 1 ), chapter title ('book=' and no other placeholder parameters have any effect:

Define one of the above keys to select appropriate matching subcategory
Define one of \|dup= yes or \|no= yes parameters to suppress calls to the {{non-free software screenshot}} template, if a second is generated.
All auto-categories can group images by specifying a similar (or ordinal) pipetrick sorting parameter: Any one of: {{{sort\|}}} or {{{p\|}}} with {{PAGENAME}} as default (sort= something, preferred)

The following subcategories may be invoked automatically by setting one of the above parameters as Arg-1 (`{{TRS-tut-image \| Arg-1 }}`):

`02 When Arg1= ED`	then: Category:Editor WINAPs non-free-tutorial images-for-Trainz, non-free text editor screen shots.
`03 When Arg1= GMAX`	then: Category:GMAX non-free-tutorial images-for-Trainz
`04 When Arg1= SUR`	then: Category:Surveyor non-free-tutorial images-for-Trainz , This for menu and Tool mode close-ups where iconography dominates an image. Surveyor "In-Use" instructional shots can be put up on the commons.
`05 When Arg1= WINAP`	then: Category:WINAP non-free-tutorial images-for-Trainz , Non-free Windows Apps not given their own codes like GMAX and PSP.
Provisional (possible) categories which we hope will remain empty redlinks:

When given one of the parameters,

it will fill in the first REQUIRED {{Fairuse rationale}} template, and add a commented out blank for additional pages to be specified later...

The key parameter field here above is 'book',: the other parameters will be generated with what should be apropos boilerplate text like that shown below given the mode parameters, but can be overridden (customized) by specifying that parameter too. Note that 'book' is a full path Wikibook link to the tutorial page where the image is first used.
