Template:Auto navigation/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Auto navigation (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories, and other content that are not part of the original template page.

This template adds:

  1. links to the page one level above the current as "home", the previous page, and the next page of the book to the bottom of the page
  2. the page to a category with the same name as the title page and sorts by the name of the subpage unless third parameter specified (see below)

{{autonav}} can also be used as a shortcut.

Parameters

All parameters are optional.

  1. Name of previous page
  2. Name of next page
  3. deep if pages should be filed in subcategories of the book's category based on the chapter

Usage

  • {{auto navigation|Next|Previous}}
  • {{auto navigation|Next|Previous|deep}}
