RAC Attack - Oracle Cluster Database at Home/VirtualBox Windoze/Create VM
- From the main screen, click the New icon in the upper left hand corner.

- Click Next.

- Type in collabn1 for the Name of the VM. Choose Linux for the Operating System and Oracle for the Version and click Next.

- Type 760 in the Size field and click Next.

- Leave Start-up Disk checked. Leave Create new hard disk selected and click Next.

- Leave VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) selected and click Next.

- Leave the Storage Details as Dynamically Allocated and click Next.

- Type in the full path or choose through the browse icon the Location for the disk file to be created. The file should be named collabn1.vdi. Type in 30.00 GB in the Size field and click Next.

- Review the disk creation summary and click Create.

- Review the VM creation summary and click Create.

- From the main screen, click the Settings icon in the upper left hand corner.

- Open the Settings sub-menu. Uncheck the Floppy check box in the Boot Order list.

- Open the Audio sub-menu. Uncheck the Enable Audio check box.

- Open the USB sub-menu. Uncheck the Enable USB Controller check box.

- Open the Storage sub-menu. Delete the Empty disk under the IDE Controller.

- Click on the Add CD/DVD Device icon next to IDE Controller, then click Choose disk from the popup dialog box.

- Locate and open the Enterprise-R5-U6-Server-i386-dvd.iso file.

- Add a second CD/DVD Device and open the RAC11gR2.iso file.

- Add a third CD/DVD Device and open the VirtualBox Guest Additions ISO (C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso).

- Add a second Hard Disk by clicking on the second icon next to the SATA Controller that says Add Hard Disk.

- Add a third Hard Disk by clicking on the second icon next to the SATA Controller that says Add Hard Disk.
- Open the Network sub-menu. Under the Adapter 1 tab, change the Attached to: dropdown to Host-only Adapter.

- Choose the Adapter 2 tab. Check the box for Enable Network Adapter. Change the Attached to: dropdown to Internal Network and type the name rac-priv in the Name field.

- Choose the Adapter 3 tab. Check the box for Enable Network Adapter. Change the Attached to: dropdown to NAT and click OK.

- Review the summary of the new virtual machine and click Start to boot it.
