This Wikibook is dedicated to the teaching of Punjabi, a language of Indo-European family. Punjabi is spoken by natives of Punjab in India, where it is written in Gurmukhi script, and of Punjab in Pakistan, where Shahmukhi, an adapted derivative of Arabic script is used. It is now spoken internationally by an estimated 100 to 125 million people and is the tenth natively most spoken language in the world.
