Introduction edit

Direct current electricity is the one way flow of electric charges. It can be produced by sources like batteries. The current may flow through a conductor such as a wire, semiconductors such as insulators, or even through a vacuum. The electric charge flow in a constant direction, distinguishing it from alternating current (AC).
