- Tristan da Cunha is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. It has a population of only about 300 permanent inhabitants and so has little need for postage meters. Although it does issue traditional postage stamps - mainly for the philatelic trade - no meter stamp has ever been generated on this South Atlantic island.
