• The first meter was installed in 1939.
• The stamps are grouped according to inscription and emblem in the frank as follows:

A - “ΕΛΛΑΣ” and crown

B - “ΕΛΛΑΣ”, “HELLAS” and crown

C - “ΕΛΛΑΣ”, “HELLAS” and phoenix

D - “ΕΛΛΑΣ” and “HELLAS” without crown or phoenix

• Note that both Roman and Western numerals are commonly used for the month in meter dates.
