Cameroon edit

The first meter stamps appeared in 1952 during the period of French administration. The stamps are grouped according to their political inscription as follows:

A – French administered UN trusteeship, inscribed “R FRANCAIS F”, 1952 – 1959
B – Independent federation, inscribed “CAMEROUN” or “ETAT DU CAMEROUN”, 1959 – 1961
C – Republic, inscribed “REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN” or variation, 1961 to present
PO – Stamp designs unique to Post Office use

NOTE: Stamps from Groups A and B are known used after the changes in political status.

Self-adhesive label with preprinted design in blue: a tall structure with curved sides at left, “CAMEROUN” in the center, and “POSTES” stacked at right.
Frank has simulated-perforation border, "REPUBLIQUE/ du CAMEROUN" at top, value figures at center above "POSTES" and M# at bottom.
M# with "GO" prefix.
TM is a rectangle, hour figure between the TM and frank

NOTE: The stamp shown has some horizontal stutter. Although the sides of the town mark and frank are supposed to be straight we have not seen examples without the stutter.
